Guinea Pig Questions

Question

I got a guinea pig two days ago

when ever I try to take him out of his cage

he runs around like a maniac

how to i get him to calm down

by the way its a male

should i let him stay in his cag for afew days?

Well, I breed guinea pigs and many of mine still to this day do that even with handling. I would say give him another couple of days to adjust but, after you start holding him , after a while the running around and stuff should calm down a little, but if it doesn't he is just a really excited guinea pig that likes to run!!
