My Guinea pig makes this purring sound like alot when you pet her or when she's playing with the other guinea pig!

Is this bad i dont think it is and why do they do it (if you know)

    It's one of the ways they communicate with each other.


  2. Lol they purr because they are happy... kinda like cats!!!

  3. Guinea pigs "purr" when they are super happy. I used to breed guinea pigs and when the male was ready to mate he would purr and circle the female for minutes at a time, ha it was funny to watch. But yes, they do this when they are happy and/or excited :o) the babies did it a lot too around their mother and father.
