Guinea pig question, please help.?

so i'm taking care of my brother's friends guinea pig while their on a camping trip, and i don't wanna bug them while they're smoking hookah or whatever college kids do, (I'm 14)

and anyway, the guinea pig's name is Betty, and Betty has a cardboard fruit box that she likes to play in. and she's been chewing the sides, i don't know if she's actually eating it, but is it bad for her? should i take the box away, or should i not worry about it, after all, she's had the box for a while now?

guinea pigs teeth are continuously growing it needs to chew on something to grind them down but its always better to have them chew on a stick instead.!

Don't worry about it, she probably isnt eating the box. It is in their nature to nest and this is what she is doing. Just be sure the box isn't damaged so that she can escape!

Its awfully nice of you to look after the piggie! :)

The cardboard box is fine--it won't hurt her even if she swallows a nibble or two.
