Guitar Help - Strumming?

should i strum from my wrist or elbow cos ive heard different people saying different things. thanks

I strum from my elbow and pick from my wrist

All I can say is just practice using both and find what you prefer. For harder Rock powerchords I recommend using your wrist as its more accurate for hitting 3 strings and faster.

Realistically, it's better to strum more using your wrist and elbow...but moreso the wrist movement is best. It is extremely tiring on the arm to keep moving it around...whereas the wrist can move around a lot and change positions very well.

Either is fine. If you have to alternate (strum down then up) or strum quickly then using your wrist is probably easier and can help you keep better control.
