I have this guitar

and i have this amp

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Fender-G-DEC-30-Guitar-Digital-Entertainment-Center-103858940-i1166257.gc

When i use my guitar with my amp on a clean setting, i sometimes hear a buzzing sound on it (Usually when playing the E or A strings). It sounds like it might be too bassy, anything i can do to fix it?

If it makes any difference, my amp is 2 1/2 yrs old and my guitar is 9 months young ^_^

  2. You need a trust rod adjustment. It's a simple thing and all guitars will have it at some fret and string. it's caused because the necks of guitars arent flat, they're usually convex or concave and as a result the string will come into contact with a fret somewhere on the neck.

  3. turn the bass down and the trouble up on your amp.

  4. You have to narrow down whether this is a problem with the guitar, or the amp. First, try playing the guitar dry (without amplification). Pluck the E and A strings hard, both with your finger and your pick. If you hear the buzzing (you'll have to listen close), it's most likely a result of the truss rod, or the bridge of the guitar. You'll want to take it to a place like Guitar Center to have it set up by a professional.

However, if this is not the case, then you can assume it's the amp. In this circumstance, you'll have to turn down those bass and mid k***s a bit. Either the amount of bass is causing the speaker to distort, or (less commonly) there's something loose in the amp, which is causing a high-frequency rattling due to the amount of amplification. If that still doesn't work, there might be a defect in the amp, so I would recommend e-mailing or calling Fender's customer support about it.

  5. It could be fret buzz.  Adjust your action or take it to a guitar store and let them check it out.
