Gun control laws for veterans?

Question

I need to know what the gun control laws are concerning veterans.

I've heard different things, some people say that they're allowed to have pretty much any gun they want, but other people say that they're not allowed to have any guns.

This is for my upcoming debate tournament, and I've been on google all day long trying to find this information, but all I can find is opinion articles.

So please, if someone can find a site with the laws regarding veterans owning guns, please send me a link. =)

are you serious???  veterans have the same rights as any other citizen.  only convicts are restricted from owning guns.

Veterans have to obey the exact same gun laws as every other american does.

There are no special gun laws for veterans.

As long as a veteran has a clean record..they can own the same guns any civilian can and nothing more.

They don't lose rights by being vets, but they also aren't granted special privileges as far as gun rights are concerned.
