you might come across as being unhappy or worried or maybe he thinks that your hiding something that you dont want people to know.

if i have something on my mind i like to talk about it with a few ppl because i always feel better after i get it of my chest.

he's probably trying to be there for you and by you confiding in him he would feel closer to you.

im not 100% sure but thats what i mean whenever i say it
