Hockey Q- How would you compare today's Datsyuk to the Prime years of Peter Forsberg... Who's Better? Who would you rather have on your team?

Forsberg was definitely better in his prime years. I think LITY would agree. After all, even when it was up in the air whether or not Forsberg would play this season, he was still among the top players on central scouting's list and definitely ahead of Datsyuk.

This was an entertaining series though and Dallas gave Detroit a scare. I thought Turco played pretty well this post-season over all so maybe people will stop giving him so much flack for his playoffs performances. Anyway, congrats Wings fans!

i would have datsyuk on the leafs anyday because he's a hard worker, who influences his team by the way he plays. he's a great offensice presence, and plays defense better than forsberg any day.

well foresberg in his prime is better than datsyuk, but i'm thinking as an all around player, and as someone who can come onto my team and play an important role.

Peter Forsberg in his prime is among the greatest NHL players ever. Datsyuk today is nowhere close. Forsberg's weakness was his health, so throughout their careers, I'm sure Datsyuk will finish better because he will remain healthy, but in their prime, Forsberg's better, hands down.

It's tough to say. They both play totally different brands of hockey. Forsberg you couldn't contain because of his pure strength, where as Datsyuk you can't contain because he doesn't stand still long enough! Hmm.... maybe they aren't that different. I guess it depends on the rest of the team though. They both fit their respective situations so well. But I think I'd have to take Forsberg in his prime. He seemed to be more versatile than Datsyuk is; and I think he adds a greater deal of intimidation.
