Component cable (red, blue, green) is analog and video only.  Composite (yellow, white, red) is analog video/audio

HDMI is digital video and audio.

The other people are correct that you are not going to find a cable with a digital connector (HDMI) on one end and analog connectors (component) on the other.

Are you referring to a video game cable though?  Recent game consoles do have HD AV component cables.  The Xbox360 and PS3 both have these that will deliver 720p and 1080i through component.  The other side is a proprietary connector and is not HDMI.

To convert a signal from analog to digital or vice-versa, you need to have an electronic converter box.  You cannot do this conversion over wires or cables.

Your asking about two different wires.  Component is 3 wires red blue green and is only video but it is a HD connection that supports up to 1080i resolution.  HDMI is a digital wire that also does hd but goes up to 1080p and also handles digital audio.
