Heya

I'm an indian (sikh) and i have a massive problem. I love white guys to me they are the sexiest race and i wouldn't have a problem marrying them! Even tho my family may be a bit weary. So, if i feel like this why am i soo worried about having children in a mixed race marriage?

It's just that i don't know if i'd feel the same way about the baby as it will probs look white and it may not feel as if it's come from my body and people will probs think that it's not my child.

Is any1 else in this position do you think i'd get used to the idea iin time? I don't want to marry an indian guy but i want children i'm just scared they won't look like me?

Any advice?

btw i'm not married an i haven't got a b/f yet but i'm just worried about the future and my child (if i can concieve obviously)

This question is not in any way racist at all!!!! So plz don't think that way it's just about accepting something coming frm my body that doesn't nessesarily look like me. It may not seem like a bid deal but it is to me any suggestions on how i can accept it?

Thankyou in advance :)

  1. "It's just that i don't know if i'd feel the same way about the baby as it will probs look white"

Actually as dark genes predominate over white genes, your baby would most certainly look more asian than white.  It would be very rare for the child to look really white - blond hair etc.  You baby would almost certainly have dark brown hair, brown eyes and light olive skin.

    Check out these celebrities:

Jimi Mistry is half white (Irish mother) and half Indian (father).  He looks pretty Indian doesn't he?

Melanie Sykes has a HALF-Indian mother and a white father, and she still looks more Indian than white!

So your child would most probably look far more Indian than white!

Anglo-Indian children are also usually VERY good looking!!  I work with a very white Russian girl who's married to an Indian guy and their little girl is absolutely gorgeous (and very asian looking with dark hair and big dark eyes)

Besides which when you have a child you will love them like your own heart and what they look like won't even come into it, beleive me.

  2. if the dad white your child wont know a lot bout your culture srry but tats the truth. they will just be more of a white american it might be different how u raise them but at one time or the other they will be confuse bout who they are

  3. i wanted my son to look like me when he was born. but, 4 years later, he still looks just like his father. it maks me sick sometimes! haha j/k

whether your baby looks like you or not, shouldnt make you love it any less. you know your baby came from you, so that should be enough.

  4. First off- you are kinda jumping the gun a little here. You shouldn't be so worked up over something that hasn't happened yet.  I have a lot of friends that are interracial couples and their kids are great.  Of course, you may run into people who can't handle it. They are out there. You just have to realize how very ignorant they are and just keep going. Good Luck!!

  5. A baby is not an extension of you or the father - it's it's own person and deserves to be valued on that basis.

Somehow, I doubt that when the time comes, the baby's colour is going to mean very much to you.

  6. when you feel a baby move inside you the love begins, long before you know the s*x, colour or creed.

please stop worrying and enjoy your life.

if in time you settle down and have children they will be with a man you love and you WILL love your children unconditionally

    hope this helps

    good luck

  7. Honestly, if you have children with a white man, they are probably going to look more like you. But if they look more like your future husband, you might like that they look like the person you love most!  :)
