  1. Well, it's really normal for an average person to shed more than 50 to 100 hairs daily. However if you notice that you are shedding more hair recently then you might be facing with Sudden Hair Loss...scientically known as Telogen Effluvium. This condition is quite normal. To know whether you are facing this problem, sit down and rethink whether has any events within the past 3-4 months causes some really serious stress to you physically or mentally.

When your body faces certain amount of stress, it redirects the nutrients to other parts of your body away from your hair. Your body will also shuts down your hair growing phase during that time..shifting them to the Resting Phase (TELOGEN). As the hair in the resting phase takes around 3-4 months to shed, you might notice 3-4 months later after that stressful period you will face with sudden hair loss...or more hair loss than normal.

You won't have to worry, this condition returns to normal after a few months. But if you continue to face with high levels of stress, expect more hair to thin and fall out. Talk to your nutritionist about vitamins and minerals that you can take to avoid the problem..

  3. 100 hairs fall out a day naturally.

If you run your fingers through your hair and pull out a chunk then be worried.

As a stylist I get so many people concerned over this and I haven't had any that could say they pull out a handful, so don't stress!

Also, just a bit of extra info; brushing hair will not make hair fall out more, its actually a really good thing as it stimulates the scalps natural oils which help coat and protect the hair.

  4. Like the lady before said yes we do lose 100 hairs from our head on average a day!

When you dont shower for a couple of days, it can appear that we are losing more hair but we aren't.

If you are losing hair in large quantities/clumps i would go see your doctor to rule out alopecia or any other medical problems!

I hope this helps and dont stress yourself out over it! xx

  5. that's normal but if too much hair falls out see a doctor

  6. Lol no. If a part of your hair falls out completely than that's when you should start worrying. Some strands of your hair is bound to fall out.
