Question:

HELP! I need advice!

I have been on Ortho tri-cyclen for the last two months but it was causing me very much mental distress. I requested a new pill from my doctor and I have been on it for a week now. I never stopped taking the pill and just went about with my new pill as if it were the same as my old pack. My husband and I had unprotected s*x last night and he ejaculated while still inside, is there a chance I can become pregnant because it's a new cycle with the new pill?

  1. if you've been taking your pills from the first pack correctly you should be fine. the chance is very small but it's still slightly possible.

  2. anytime that happens there is a chance for pregnance but if you have remained on birth control regardless of what kind you are less likely also it depends on if you were ovulating if you can remember when your last period was it is easier because out of the whole month you only ovulate one day. okay here's how to tell 14-16 days AFTER the FIRST day of your period is when you're ovulating if you just finished it 4-5 days ago you should be fine. so count the days from your first day of your last period. hope i could help! lemme know what happens.

  3. small chance u will

  4. I'd love to say no, but there is always a chance that you will become pregnant. Even with the pill, it is still possible. For the future, always, ALWAYS have protection during s*x. Wish you the best!

  5. the chance is small, but you still should have been more cautious about it because it is not guaranteed!! you should have used other measures if you don't want to get pregnant. i hope you are now using protection...

  6. Nothing is 100% effective, but I would assume from what you are saying that you were protected.

  7. There is always a chance especially if it is a lo dose bcp like Orthotricyclen Lo (which I actually concieved my son while taking faithfully, albeit not on time every day).
