when they say put salt on a cold sore. is it dry salt or have i got to de-solve it in water and apply it like that. How do i get rid off cold sores fast? with in 3 days?

Go to the chemist and buy Zovirax. Cold sores are a manifestation of the herpes virus (related to the genital herpes virus but not the same). You need an antiviral to get rid of it.

I agree with Charles you need an antiviral cream to get rid of cold sores. However, whenever you are cleansing a wound, or sore, with salt you never put it on pure. You need to dissolve it in tepid water, its one part salt to 5 parts water for a perfect saline solution.

Mate Cold Sores are a form of Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV (1 or 2)).  Use a cream containing aciclovir.  Really you need to get something like Sovirax there are many good cures, the ones which apply a covering are best as you dont want to spread them!!

To sooth pain use cold witch hasel!

AFTER TOUCHING THEM WASH YOU HANDS AND DO NOT TOUCH YOU EYES!!!
