HELP PLEASE!AFTER WOOD STAIN?

ok what do i do now to prepare the wood for varathane and it's wipe on varathane by the way

Make sure there is no remaining dust on the wood.  Apply the varathane  as per directions on the can, use a soft lint free cloth.  These cloths are probably sold where you got the varathane.  I have also used Handi Wipes to apply the wipe on poly. If the instructions on the can tell you to sand lightly between coats do so and be sure to tac cloth off any dust.

Before you apply finish, vacuum carefully. Wipe the surface gently to remove all traces of sanding dust, using a "tack" cloth or hard-surfaced paper napkins. The cloth or napkins should be dampened with mineral spirits if you're using oil-based finishes or moistened with water if you're using a water-based finish. Complete the clean up by drying the surface with napkins or dry cloths.
