  1. whats a 'slow worm'??? am i missing something? am i the only person in the world to not know ?? HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP?????????????...

  2. Put it underneath the nearest hedge or in a compost heap or on waste ground, it will take care of itself.  It won't harm you or anyone else, they are not venomous and don't bite, they're legless lizards, not snakes!

  3. We live in the South West and we have loads of slow worms in our garden! Just put them in a compost heap or a long grassy area and they'll be fine.

p.s If you pick them up they skake off their own tails and poo on you!

  4. Put it in a safe spot in your garden( if you have one)...somewhere quite warm, they burrow away safely until the temperature is right for them, then they will sunbathe in your garden. We find quite a few in our garden, and they are perfectly happy.

  5. RSPCA?

  6. bury it, it is a worm

  7. If you have a compost heap or some you know has one put it in there. I live in Cornwall and I have 3 or 4 in my compost heap and they seem quite happy.

  8. If I am not mistaken, they are protected in England, I of course am in America.  The problem is many people at first glance mistake them for snakes.  I do not know what laws you have concerning having them in captivity, but if you are allowed to keep it, I would house it and feed it.  I think they are rather interesting critters.   They are very much like the glass lizards.  They can lose their tails if they are attacked, and a smaller new one will grow back.   And of course they have no limbs.  The other option is to put it back in the same area where you found it away from the road though in some grass.  If that area seems a bit to chaotic, then perhaps another area not to far away though that is less congested.  Good Luck

  9. It will need something to hide under, as they do this in the natural habitat.I would take it to the nearest wild area near you and let it fend for itself.

  10. Slow worms are a protected species in Britain so unfortunately you can't keep it a lot of slow worms make their home in peoples gardens, so either put it in your garden if you have a compost heap put it there or take it to your nearest heath land and release it again, they are really interesting lizards you must have some near to where you live so you could take it back to where your daughter found it and find some land to release it,

  11. Find a grassy area or wood where it won't be in danger of people or cars, and release it. It's illegal to keep them captive so you have to let it go.

  12. Try and take it to the nearist nature resurve
