The Sahara Desert in Africa, and the Sonoran Desert in Arizona are guaranteed to be quite toasty in September. I know, as I've been to the former and live in the latter. Try Phoenix. If it's heat you want you won't be disappointed. It's a moderate day out and around 109F.
