HP computer processor?

I want to buy a new HP Desktop that has a processor speed of 1.8GHz. I feel like that's small, but it says that it's a quad-core processor. So does that mean there's 4 1.8GHz processors? Thanks in advanced. :D

Yes, but there is a thing called multi-core processing which not much sofware runs on. Mostly servers use quad cores but quad core its not optimized for the home user. About 3% of software will run properly on a Quad Core
