Hair Under Water?

On the surface, my hair looks dark brown, almost black, but underwater it looks very bright red. Why is that? No one else around me does this. And no, my hair is not dyed. So, why?

  1. it's probably the sunlight reflecting off your hair

you most likely have red tint in your hair

it could also be the chlorine in the water that makes your hair "change color"

since chlorine generally gives water a yellowish-green tint, it would be more likely that that would cause it

  2. It's probably since your underwater the light that reflects off your actual hair is different than when your in direct sunlight and it is reflecting only off your hair and not the water and hair
