  1. Q. How can I have longer hair??

    A. Well, having longer hair really consists of two things. The first is maximizing/promoting growth and the second is retaining length. Here are the absolute basics to growing longer stronger hair.

To maximize or promote growth, I would suggest:

    1) Eat a protein rich diet and lots of fruits and veggies to ensure you are growing strong healthy hair.

    2) Keep your body healthy and hydrated by drinking at least 64 oz of water a day and exercising at least 3-5 times a week.

    3) Massage the scalp at night with a drop or two of essential oils to help stimulate the hair follicles. Make sure to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep each night.

    4) Take a Hair, Skin and Nails vitamin to help supplement your diet. These vitamins are available at your local drugstore or health food store.

To retain length, I would suggest:

    1) Wash and deep condition at least once a week to remove the accumulation of sebum from the scalp and hair.

    2) Reduce direct heat (such as blow drying, flat ironing and hot curling). Instead, dry the hair using a low to no heat styling method (such as air drying in buns, braids or twists, roller-setting or flexi-rodding) to help reduce stress to the hair.

    3) Make sure to moisturize nightly with a water based moisturizer like ORS Olive oil to help keep the ends lubricated. Trim as needed.

    4) Keep the hair and ends protected during the day with loose styles like buns, twists, french rolls and twists.

The basic idea is to make sure that your body is healthy so that you are growing strong hair. After that, its just a matter of keeping it! This is why we want to reduce heat, keep the hair hydrated and protect the ends. This will help reduce unnecessary breakage and split ends, which can allow you to trim less often and retain length.

  2. You should buy Boots Skin Hair and Nails vitamins for £5.05.

They worked for me and also made my Hair a lot more thicker!

  3. Everyone's hair grows at a different rate. Eating properly helps, but mostly it's genetic. As far as I know, eating sugar has nothing to do with hair growth. Wash and condition regularly, use as little heat as possible, and just wait. I'm sure it will grow, it may take a little longer than others.

  4. well first of all, naturally some peoples hair grows faster than others..

but you need to make sure you eat healthy food, alot of fruit etc...

sweetcorn is really good for your hair cause it helped me too loll.

make sure you dont damage it by straightning too much or if you do use protection and get regular trims :)

  5. try some hair growth tablets, which you can get at somewhere like boots or a health shop like holland and barretts lol

eat lots of fruit and drink water. my hairs halfway to my waist now because i did this =]

plus if you go for regular trims then you get rid of dead ends which helps it grow in the long run

  6. Hi,

Hair growth certainly depends on your diet.Add pulses to your diet or protein intake should be increased. Can also take a protein supplement.Wash your hair twice and use some good conditioner so that your hair are clean and the texture improves.Get them trimmed after a few months to avoid splitends. And i have also heard that you should keep your hair tightly tied and it helps them to grow. So must give it a try & good luck .

  7. Yes, your hair will grow more quickly if you eat healthy and exercise.

Eat fresh foods, preferably organic. AVOID packaged foods.

Lots of vegetables and fresh meat, poultry.... don't eat processed food.

  8. Sometimes people's hair reaches it's natural length before we want it to. If your hair has stopped growing, it sounds like it's reached it's natural length or is just growing slower than normal. Hair grows around 1/2 an inch every month, so it's not going to be obviously noticeable. To speed it up, you could go for regular trims, avoid using too many heat products and I've also heard a rumour that rubbing raw eggs into it can help because they are rich in protein. if you're not willing to do this (I don't blame you!) then you could try asking your hairdresser if she/he knows of any shampoos with high levels of protein in. Hope this helps.
