  1. First, get yourself and cream or spray that has the active ingredient Lidocaine - Lidocaine is used topically to relieve itching, burning and pain from skin inflammations.

Second, you have to really careful to get all the hair remover creme off your skin - its possible that some was still in the pores of your skin where it continued to work and ended up irritating your skin. Next time consider using Epil Stop’s Perfect Finish Neutralizing AfterWash after you take off the hair remover cream - It neutralizes any hair remover cream left on your skin so you won't burn yourself accidentally or get any red bumps.

Their website has a demo showing how it works.

  2. Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
