Get lots of scary movies, the really scary ones and some funny ones.  I highly recommend Dracula Dead and Loving It.  As for food, get something you'll all like, like pizza or something, and for the candy just buy a large bag of Halloween candy.  For the decorations, you can just through some random Halloween stuff up.  It'll be fun if you guess had costumes.  You don't need to get to serious with it.

Sounds fun!  You already have a theme....Do the usual halloween games...Bob for apples, and blinfold people and have them feel different foods that have been re-named...peeled grapes are eyeballs, spaghetti is brains, etc.  and you can decorate your basement like a haunted house.
