what kind of hammer drill do I need to get to drill holes in hollow blocks on my foundation? I am treating for termites. There are a lot of different types and I'm not sure which kind to go with. I'd also like to have one for future use too so if there is a kind that is more versatile for other jobs i might get that instead. thanks

  1. Get a dewalt cordless drill with hammer, you can use it with or without hammer ,They are great to have around the house ,plenty of power and plenty of uses for it.You will wonder how you survived without it.If you buy just a hammer drill ,most likely you will rarely use it ,

  2. For an all-purpose hammer-drill go for an SDS machine. It will perform as a hammer or non-hammer/rotary tool as well. If it is for occasional use dont buy an expensive professional one. Sixty quid max should buy a very good reliable one (brand-new!) But be warned: they are a heavy piece of gear compared with with the average cordless job. Trade catalogues such as Screwfix.com can be helpful for sourcing. Good luck!

  3. Ridgid tools man   excellent

  4. Bosh sds is the best but a bit pricey for the homeowner unless your using it professionally get a dewalt
