Hamster Help please answer. ?

Question

My hamster is getting really fat so I gave it less to eat and it is still fat Also it poops alot. Help

Don't leave it hungry. Buy a hamster wheel and put it in his/her cage. Exercise may work x]

maybe it has worms? hamsters get the same afflictions as other animals.

I would say put a hamster wheel in his cage and buy him a hamster ball. Just put him in the ball for a while everyday to let him get some exercise.

Don't starve it to death, That'll only make things worse. You should get a Exercise Ball so it can excercise. You can also get a Wheel so it can run around in. Soon or later your Fat Hamster will become very healthy.

It could be some internal parrisite. It can make their belly inflate. Or get a excersize wheel or ball. I like the glow in the dark ball so you can see him even at night wondering around your house. Just be sure to keep that lid on tight! I learned from the hard way. Couldn't find Hammy for a month! If that doesn't make him lose weight take him to a vet. Never limit food. It would be like only feeding a over weight child little as possible!

ok well i wanna say the same thing everyone else is saying so um you can buy them a bigger cage with different level and sturr because my dwarf hamster has a wheel in her cage and she hardly touches it.

get it an exersise weel then it would lose weight

or if it is seriously fat like i cant walk that well then take it to the vets they might give it some medicine to reduce its size

Hamsters don't lose weight overnight.  Instead of giving him less just take out the fattening seeds like sunflower or pumpkin seeds.  Get him in a hamster ball for fifteen minutes a day.  Check the cage for food stashes.  Feed him every other day.  Just because the bowl is empty doesn't mean he doesn't have food.  He probably has his supply where he sleeps.

If he is using his wheel and you cut back on the fatty seeds maybe he is just meant to be a plump hamster.  Some hamsters are less active than others but see how he likes using a hamster ball.  

Hamsters do p**p a lot.  Just change the cage weekly.
