  1. yes it is good to give them regular cheerios...not any other kind...so dont give them sugar coated ones or honeynut cheerios

  2. NO cheerios with sugar for your hamsters. Never give your hamster snacks that might have added salt or sugar in them. You can give them basic Cheerios or multigrain Cheerios but none of the flavoured ones. You can also give your hamster plain corn flakes.

However remember, these are only snacks and only little quantities should be given to your hamsters. The major part of your hamster diet should come from a good brand commercial feed specially designed for hamsters. This should account for 80% of your hamster's diet since it has the correct amount of nutrition and vitamins for your little hammie's health.

Check out the following website. It would give you and idea of what you can and cannot feed your hamster and the types of snacks you can give your hamster -

    Apples

    Bananas

    Celery

    Yogurt Drops

    Bread

    Toast

    Oatmeal

    A LITTLE bit of Cheese

    Shelled Sunflower Seeds

    Corn
