Hamstring Tendonitis?

i injured my hamstring by sprinting again for the 3RD TIME!!! The pain is felt just below my butt. The first time, i couldnt run for months. Then, it recovered completely. I went back 2 training for about a month. Then, i injured it again. on the same spot and the same feeling. I rested for a month, and last week, i jogged, stretched my leg, run with it, it felt fine.

Then today, i thought my leg was completedly healed, so i played catching with my friends. Well the catcher was chasing after me so i sprinted off in the other direction at full speed. Halfway through running the pain starts to set in and i just had to stopped.

What can i do doing the recovery process? How can i stretch that part of my leg? I want to run in next years sports day!! and im only 14!!! why does this have to happen to me!!!!!

  1. you are injuring your hamstring near its origin. It takes longer to heal the higher up on the muscle it is hurt.

You obviously need some physical therapy because rest alone is not taking care of  your problem.

I can not tell you why, but it may be from a weakness in the muscle, that is it is not as strong as it should be compared to the quadriceps or the other leg.

Talk to a trainer about getting on a re hab program.

  2. You get injuries when you are doing something wrong.

    like:

    bad shoes

    no stretching

    no conditioning

    etc

in your case, no stretching and no conditioning. I would start jogging eveyday or 5 times a week, stretch too

    not balistic stretching either.

work you way up to sprinting again
