HappyWeekend train ticket in German?

I heard that there is 'HappyWeekend' train ticket for 5 person travel in the same time in Saturday and SUnday for 32 euro. Is it true and how can I buy that ticket.

  1. They still have it. In German, it is called the Schönes-Wochenende-Ticket. It costs 30 Euros if you buy them on the Internet or at the ticket machines, 32 Euros if you buy them at the train station. You can travel on one day on the weekend, either Saturday OR Sunday, for up to 5 people (it's no longer both days). You cannot use the ticket for all trains though, you can only use them on trains with the following: S-Bahn, RB, IRE, RE.

    If you speak German, you can click on the link below and order the ticket from bahn.de, but it's also easy enough to buy the ticket at the train station.

I lived in Germany three years ago, and it was true then, but it probably has been canceled since.  But to buy any of the current offers, just go to a ticket agent at the train station, and if you're coming from out of the country, you can buy the ticket when you arrive at the Frankfurt airport, because they have ticket agents there.
