  1. be yourself. that is key and dress professional.

  2. You have to dress very professional (dress shoes, dress pants, dress shirt, nice tie, and jacket) and i hear they ask you what you are currently reading because they want students who love to read so if your not reading anything than make sure you look up something quickly(hahaha) and please contact me at krakowskimike@yahoo.com because i would like to know what your weighted and unweighted GPA was along with SATs and SATs and extracurriculars, etc. to even get to this interview. Good Luck!!! I hope you get in!

  3. You should get in touch with any students at Harvard and do a mock interview.  These students know what it takes to get in.

My friend had a very important interview at a Medical School and she went through brutal training...but she got in!

For example...during the mock interview they asked....

"What is your least favorite subject?"  My friend said "French" but that was the wrong answer because what if one of the people interviewing you was French or taught French?

Another advice is to go to the bathroom to do anything.  You want to blow your nose, go to the bathroom.  You want to scratch, go to the bathroom.

As far as dressing for the interview, boring is best.  Dressing "in style" won't work.  My friend had to dress very bland and in black and white and gray with panty hose and low heels and could not put her hair in a low-ponytail (which is acceptable as professional but not for this type of interview).

I'm not trying to scare you but what she went through was very difficult but she got in.  Talk with other students and see what they think.

  4. dress professionally and be yourself but with a filter of professionalism, they don't have time or patience for goofing around obviously... present yourself in a good light but be honest about yourself... make the highlights of your unique personality glow

if this is the informal interview with alumni or students, don't stress because it doesn't determine admission...

take a deep breath and calm your nerves... you will be just fine
