  1. Harvard is such an internationally-known school that it get a huge amount of Asian applications. Also, Harvard diligently attempts to diversify their campus by admitting a certain percentage of international applicants.

  2. Harvard, like every top school, has a quota on Asian students and keeps it at 18%. Bottom line is that many Asians have the necessary stats, and if they didn't quota there would be a lot more Asians as there are at schools like the UC's which are not allowed to quota. It's harder for an Asian to get into a top school than any other group, a WSJ reporter say they need 50 more SAT points than a white candidate. An Asian student with a perfect SAT score that was rejected by Princeton last year has filed a law suit.

  3. they are very smart, and I dont know why but they get a lot of grants and stuff

  4. "Everyone" is Asian?

Harvard is only 18% Asian. It was probably chance that you saw only Asian students.

  5. Foreign and international students arrive on campus before the normal move in date. Other than that, campuses love to diversify at the risk of other students. A kind of affirmative action if you will. It's not easy to get into Harvard though so I'm sure they earned it.
