How is this going to change our E-Mail accounts & E-Groups?

Does anyone have a Heads-Up, on this matter?

  1. I've read lots of stuff online where Microsoft & Yahoo was going to merge, or be bought out.

I've heard people bad talk yahoo, & I tell them that it isn't going to be any better anywhere else.

Even though yahoo & google are in competition, I belive Yahoo Groups are better then Google Groups: as far as groups go..

Although, I like Google for my online search engine.  I have Google & Forfox!!

I do not care much for Microsoft/MSN & now they want to buy out Yahoo(?).

  2. I own yahoo stock. They have not been bought out, and acorrding to info they send me they are not planning on being bought out by anyone.

  3. From the Yahoo Small Business hosting Terms of Service:

"Your Service from Yahoo!'s servers, or remove any Content within the Service, if Yahoo! concludes, in its sole discretion, that You (a) have breached, violated, or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of these Terms, including any applicable Yahoo! Policy or any applicable law or regulation; (b) have provided false information as part of your Account Information; (c) have failed to keep your Account Information complete, true, and accurate; (d) fail to respond to any email communication sent to the email address listed in your Account Information; (e) are engaged in fraudulent or illegal activities or the sale of illegal or harmful goods or services; or (f) are engaged in activities or sales that may damage the rights or reputation of Yahoo! or others (each "Termination for Cause")

I don't know how you could conclude anything about yahoo getting bought out from him simply having his service terminated.

Edit: That's the least likely reason why his individual site would be shut down.  When web businesses are sold, they are sold because they are generating revenue.  They wouldn't preemptively shut down a source of funding simply because they "might" be sold (not even a few accounts).

I would think it was because they didn't like something on the site (it doesn't even have to be a legitmate reason); Yahoo customer service is notorious for not explaining themselves.  I would recommend that he move the site.

  4. yahoo as of today has not been bought out and that deal fell through like if Feb.

hard to say about that web site
