Has any one heard about?????

Has anyone heard about a gas strike on Friday? I've gotten like 3 of those chain texts in the last 2 hrs. Do you think it would be a good idea if no one bought gas for 1 day. I dont think it would make a difference. I really don't see how it would change anything.

you know they tried this before. i dont think it works. people will end up buying gas anyway.

I heard the same thing but on May 15th, but maybe May 1st too. I heard that back then in April 1997, they protest of high gas prices back then. They said that it worked before, and they say that it will happen again. But i dont know if it will this time. Because people need gas more than ever. But maybe it will make a little impact on the gasoline company to lower down the gas prices.

yes i posted it on here so every one would know about it. it has worked in the past to get prices down and i am hoping it works this time too.

It would not make a difference.  Even if no gas is bought on that day, people will still buy gas either the day before or the day after.  The only way to make a difference is to change the way you get around--ride the bus, carpool, ride a bike, etc.
