Has any1 ever been to Volterra?

It's a small Tuscan city and is really sweet. I've been there alot of times and I want to see how many ppl have been there! If you wanna know more info on this small medieval city e'mail me by pressing on my avatar!

  2. Yes, Volterra is a beautiful hilltop town situated in the heart of Tuscany.

    A powerful Etruscan town, it later was a free commune and passed to Florence in 1472. The fortress on the Piano di Castello was ordered by Lorenzo the Magnificent in 1472 to control the Volterra and the Siena territory and became a symbol of Florentine rule.

    Teatro Romano - situated just outside the city walls, the ancient Roman theatre, dating to the first century BC, is one of the best-preserved in Italy.

    Also famous Volterra Alabaster.
