Has anyone been to Acapulco Mexico?

If so is it cheaper than american trips

I spend my winters here, I fact I just paid my rent$1,400.00 pesos ($130.00 usd)

A 1.75 lt bottle of Karat vodka $93.00 pesos .Just under $9.00.

Cable and internet $50.00 usd a month.

Food generaly runs me $300.00 a month.

I flew from Toronto to D.F.for $350.00 and $30.00 to bus the now 250 mile or 4.5 hours to Acapulco.

Taxis cost me less than the bus fare in Toronto.  Bus fare is 50 cents. You can take a taxi clear across Aca for around $8.00usd

From my place in Caleta (bargain paradise) to the Zocalo is $2.25 usd and is two miles.  30 min walk or 50 cents on an air con bus.

Last Nov 30th I left with $4,500.00 cnd with my March bills paid up , still have !,300.00cnd left.

If you are close to the border the first class bus (Volvo or Mercedes) is under $100.00 usd. In my case one way to Toronto $252. @ yahoo farechase.

I used to spend spring vacations in Acapulco.  There are lots of things to do and it is beautiful.  The prices are moderate compared to U.S. resort cities like Miami.  See your travel agent.  There are always specials for Acapulco holidays.  Restaurants in Acapulco are amazing and inexpensive.

no is not..  there is a difference between domestic travel and international..    at soon as you travel out  of any country     will cost you more

go to huatulco it is cheaper and stay at las brisas its abour $170 a night but it has 4 private beaches look it up

acapulco is dirty. but has alot of fun things to do
