has anyone else ever thought that monkeys and apes started out as mutated humans? i mean they look so much like humans, and the closely related dna...maybe i'm overlooking something.

Yes, you're overlooking something -- the timeline.

The remnants of apes predate those of human by many millions of years. They could not have "started out" as humans because there were no humans yet.

idk for sure but u could be rite its good to open up some therioes and to start thinking the unthinked u could be rite and u might not either but u just never no because now we should look into this becasue we have the technology

What a ridiculous statement.  why would every single body of a single species need to evolve the same way?

Yea you are! scientists say that we also might have comed from a prehistoric whale before monkeys too. If you put this from the evolution theory (which i think is partially true) if we did come from monkeys how come there are still monkeys. when a species evolves from what they evolved from disapears and how come there are still monkeys around? did some monkeys went like "Oh! you evolve while i just stay here and relax and stay monkey for a couple of more hundred years" puhlease that is just wierd and just because some ppl look like monkeys does not mean we are all monkeys. Darwin was not all wrong. Animals do evolve depending on their surroundings and so do humans! in some ways. But hello we were never monkey. its like saying that Adam and Eve were monkeys... NO!  you are overlooking something
