I am 19, and unqualified, I want to work in spain but to me it seems the easiest way to do this is simply to go there and look for a job. I want to do something like housekeeping in a hotel as I have no qualifications and will not find a professional job! Is this possible? has anyone my age done this before? Can anyone give any advice?

  1. At the same age I went to Lanzarote and did just that - got myself a job working in a bar and then a nightclub and survived easily enough - the only problem you will have without qualifications is getting the nice jobs - you will be fine finding work waiting on tables in bars/restaurants or hotels.

I have always thought that the easiest way to find a job in a particular country is to be there at the time when a job comes up, however, you could try out some recruit agencies and look at what work is available - as it coming up to summer there will be plenty of work, especially coastal areas.

I finally left the UK and now live in Malaga, I have been here 10 years and I started off the same, landed here at age 22 with a rucksack and changed my life for the better :) Good luck and I know you will have fun

A good recruitment agency is http://www.ambientjobs.com they have jobs listed on their website and you can post wanted ads as well - might as well do it now and you might end up finding work before you even get here - perfect all round!
