Has anyone hacked a Segway HT?

Has anyone hacked a Segway HT? I've heard they're digitally limited to like 15 miles per hour. I had a funny dream that somebody hacked it so it could go a lot faster and they went down the freeway on one. Since it's electric, I bet it could go pretty fast, but I doubt it could go that fast. What do you think?

Ha ha ha ha HEEHEEHO! Thank You...I just had a mental image of this guy going down the freeway on a Segway HT. This one made my day. Thanx again.

Haven't heard of this being done, but I suppose IF the Segway survives (which is doubtful) it's inevitable that it will be hacked.  It probably will not be easy, since the balancing algorithm is very closely entwined with the gyro hardware, which has only limited response time.  I envision Segway races over a course similar to those for BMX bikes.
