  1. Someone invited me to attend one of their meetings.  It is supposed to be a business opportunity.  But it seems like a pyramid scam.  I wasn't exactly sure how to describe what a pyramid scam is to you.  So I googled "pyramid scam" and an article came up.  Listed was Amway/Quixtar.  Coincidentally, Quixtar is the company listed on the paperwork I borrowed (they actually charged her for the materials) from this lady who invited me.  I guess the best way to describe it is the people at the top make all the money and the people at the bottom funnel the money up.

Well this meeting was a helluh boring.  I went expecting to learn maybe something about starting my own business, not listen to some slick talker who uses a bunch of buzzwords to excite people who are looking for a way to make a quick buck.  The funny thing is that the whole speech contradicted itself.  All this talk about cutting out the middle man.  If you REALLY want to cut out the middle man, start your own business.  Probably have to read some books.  Even start an Ebay business.  You shouldn't have to pay for materials from some slick talkers just so THEY can make money off of you.

    Here's the link I found...

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
