I will come back and edit my answer later. I have not seen one yet, but I am on the eastern side of Florida , right on the coast, and there are tornado warnings right now due to Tropical Strom Fay.

If you mean in real life..then its a No.. seen it heaps on TV and real ones not in movies and stuff...

I've seen a few of them.  My first one was during a chase while I was at the University of Oklahoma.  I "caught" it over western Oklahoma, and was about 1/2 mile away from it.  Since then I've seen a few other rather small ones here over the high plains of Wyoming and western Nebraska.
