Yes, I have been there and went with my husband. WE absolutely LOVED it! We love to be culture shocked. When visitinga  country there is nothing I like more than to get far away form Americanization as possible. I like the country to have its own flavor of distinct culture. We went to Jaipur, Agra, Varanasai.. Agra had the Taj Mahol and let me tell you- it was breathtakingly gorgeous. We made friends, I even bought a saree and a dancing shiva statue for on the bookcase. I wear the saree at school to show the kids the Indian culture on culture day. I even dress the kids up in it and they love it. The girls feel like a princess with it on.

Varanasai was amazing by the ganges and boating across to the other side. We went in the temple and enjoyed their rituals and music and dancing around. LOVED LOVED LOVED INDIA!!!  And the food was amazing!!

Yes, on both counts.

                            I lived there , I visited many places inc; the Taj Mahal .

                                India is a massive place, the vast majority of folk are very friendly.

                                     Where in the world can you go without groups of pillocks? No where!
