  1. no but then again Ive never tried it !

  2. I've heard it works for some people.... but I've tried hypnotherapy and it made absolutely no difference

  3. I don't know anyone who tried hypnotherapy for giving up smoking who quit for good, they all started again.

Start with being very determined and get patches and NHS support.

  4. I didn't find it helpful.  I finally gave up cold turkey having just got to a point where I really didn't want to smoke any more.

I know a few people who've tried hypnotherapy and it hasn't worked for more than a coupkle of weeks.

  5. I think hypnotherapy is excellent. I did it once for nail biting and I took my daughter when she was about 8 as she had a terrible habit of cracking her fingers, worked both times. You may well feel that you haven't been hypnotised as you will be fully aware of everything that is going on about you, traffic noise, phones ringing, etc. Just relax and go with the flow and I'm sure it will work. You may be given a tape to listen to at home or told to do some relaxation and self hypnosis. If you really want to give up smoking then give it a go. Good luck.

  6. If you are a highly suggestible person hypno-therapy may work. It's worth a try. But it didn't work for me.

  7. i am 1 of those people who cannot be hypnotised so no it didnt work for me
