  1. Its been an excellent Olympics.  Its going to be difficult to top the extravagance of the ceremonies at Beijing.  I think Londons ceremonies will be very different.  Chinas strength is that it can get thousands of people together and get them to train one part of the celebration for a year.  I dont think British people work the same way so it'll be interesting to see the difference.

  2. was alright but i dont think london can beat it.

  3. i agree, it's been really great and im glad the host country and the to-be-host country did so well.

London should not look to compete with Beijing. China had something to prove, UK doesn't. London 2012 will be good its own right-it doesn't have to be great, just different.

  4. i thought the opening ceremony was fabulous, and we got to see a lot of amazing athletes compete this year. i am so looking forward to seeing the games in London though! i'm from the States, and i'm planning on visiting london for the '12 games and i'm so excited=) london is so beautiful

  6. it was great i hope london will be just as great i recorded the ceremonies on tivo so i could watch it later

  7. China has done very well, A lot of people thought the road race, marathon, walk and triathlon would be postponed because of the bad air. But that hasn't happened.

The birds nest has been a magnificent stadium for the track and field and today it will showcase the Soccer gold medal match. If it looks good this  game might give china the 2018 or 2022 Football World cup.

This has been a great Olympics congratulation to China.

  8. yes , a fantastic olympics in all respects . i was never a sports fan but these games have had me hooked.

from the opening , to the closing ceremony this Sunday, and everything in between.

this will be the one to remember for years to come !

let`s hope the london version is as memorable ,though sadly ,i doubt it will be.

hope we all enjoy the closing ceremony .

  9. Agreed.

  10. I think it is the best ever.

  11. i think it has been ok.  I think some of the "scandals" have overshadowed some of the competition.

Also the murder on the first day is something that hits home to a lot of those in MN because that is where the couple is from.  So for us we won't forget about that.

But the opening ceremony was crazy, how intricate it was.

  12. It occurred to me during the opening ceremony that the olympics are becoming as camp as euro-vision.

Also there are far too many minority sports that render the whole thing a medal gathering exercise.

I am less interested in London 2012 than I was a month ago.  I think the whole thing needs a radical shake-up.

  13. It was great. I wish I could have seen the whole opening ceremony. I don't think it is beatable.

  14. Britain is not too bad this olympics. but china is fabulous. they will try to keep the glory. but the US has just lost few medals to china in gold. so they are also in the revenge to do best next olympics. Britain will be 4th

  15. Hi

Because of China's appalling human rights record and the total lack of Animal welfare I haven't watched one minute of the olympics, that might be something you'd like to consider the next time you fancy a 'Take Away'.
