Have Cyberhome 1600 and it

Question

Have Cyberhome 1600 and it is difficult to get it to open and close for discs. Seems like it might be a short of some kind. Also during the playing of the disc it just stops playing. It then must be turned off and agian try to get it to open and close and reload the disc. Any suggestions? I know that this brand is not one of the best, so should I just dispose of it and get another brand, or can it be repaired.?
