Have the America people forgot?

Has the American people forgot that we don't work for the Government, the Government works for us?

When was the last time you were ask to vote for their pay raises?

When was the last time you were ask how "your" tax dollars should be spent?

When was the last time you were ask anything that has to do with the running of "YOUR COUNTRY"!

Do you think it's fair that "WE THE PEOPLE" don't have a choice or a voice. After all, it is "OUR" country

  1. I laugh at all the deluded, gullible people who answer this kind of question by telling us that we have to vote to make things all better. Ha..! Our government today is >>totally<< controlled by the wealthy elite who sees to it that all the candidates we get to vote for are nothing more than the same ones over and over again, just dressed up in new clothes. Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative, independant...it makes not one bit of difference.

The >>only<< thing that can put this nation back in the hands of the people again is a total revolution.

  2. There is a lot implied by the Constitution that we tend to take at face value. We should, perhaps, look to other founding documents of America to determine exactly what the goal(s) of this system is.

As for voting, it is improper to assume that our vote will ultimate give us an instant utopia. On the same token, the way things are looking, I don't believe our elected officials are looking for a utopia (instant or otherwise). I've determined that none of them are really looking out for my interests. And as for choosing the greater of two evils, I may want to re-consider why I would choose one evil over the other, in the first place.

Obama wants to bring the troops home and stands behind the right to have and abortion. McCain wants to leave the troops there and is stands against abortion. I think life is valuable in either case, so it's like a dilemma either way.

I think we are tooled to vote on issues and our own interests. My interests are not suitably represented by either candidate. And, if we are doing as bad as some say we are, I'd probably get more satisfaction from voting on the next American Idol competition.

  3. yeah!

  4. Please try to find out who run the country for whom!

American pullout from Iraq will hurt Israel?

  5. Everybody here says VOTE, but when the choices are between career politicians who do nothing but try to get re-elected (i.e. handouts, etc.), WE get screwed.  People can't see beyond 'what can this pol do for me', instead of 'whats best for the Country'.

  6. That's what elections are for - throw the rascals out!

But I truly don't know if even so obviously intelligent a man as Senator Obama can fix this society.

But I'm fairly confident of this:  our country has huge problems that won't be addressed by keeping things the same. The issues are complex and  the entrenched interests wield incredible power.

  7. Go to: www.lp.org

Then vote for Bob Barr this November.

  8. I get asked to help run the country all the time, its called Voting. Don't blame the government, blame the people that don't vote. If the average joe doesn't vote then the average joe's interests aren't being looked out for... plain and simple.

So in the end its no ones fault but his own...
