  1. paseo de la princesa in san juan this 19th century esplanade is the place to begin your stroll.in old san juan there is also castillo de san cristibol in san juan also. la mina falls is also a good place to go to cool down. mueso de casa blanca is a prehistoric museum. there is so many thins 2 do in isla del encanto puerto rico ( also visit el morro) yes and i've been 2 puerto rico

  2. Bring our bible. There's lots of churches there, many with services in English. I would also visit the Chabad Lubavitch congregation, in the metro area. they have great food and can help you with any info about PR that you may need.

I like the Denny's restaurant in Old S.J., because it has items in its menu not available anywhere else. Also like the Ponderosa restaurant at Plaza las Americas, for the same reasons.  oh yeah, go there too. Huge mall with lots of restaurants inside.

  3. Lived there  85 degrees  all year round

    check it  @

    www.gotopuertorico.com

  4. Go to Rincon...it's great and try to find Painter or Senor Teem at the dive shop. Stay at . www.trcabanas.com

  5. I've been twice. Old San Juan is a nice touristy area to check out. For something different, check out the Arecibo Observatory, a huge radio telescope built into the earth. The rain forest (El Yunque) is supposed to be good, though I've never been. Finally, a trip to the Barcardi Distillery for a bit of rum. Oh, and try a mofongo for a taste of local cuisine.

  6. Puerto Rico is nice. Try to get to the outlying islands with nature reserves and the rainforest of you can. It's possible circle the entire island in a day driving (not that I would want to), so if there's a chance you can rent a car, don't be afraid to travel (beware of toll roads though...have $$!).

    Bring a camara!

  7. nope, i heard its hot there

  8. It's beautiful, it's hot but who cares?

It's amazing go to these sites:

    www.gotopuertorico.com

    Millions of sites

    Bring:

    sunglasses

    suntan lotion

    sunblock

    bathing suit

Comfy clothes [not much jackets its hot]

    shorts

    sneakers

    hair lotion

hat [your hair could get damaged if not wearing a hat]

    anything else

    Those are the basics

    Go to Viejo San Juan

It has a great night life and the food is FANTASTiC

    best of luck ;)

  9. Jessica,

This all depend on your lifestyle and what you want to do. I have been to PR approx. 20 times and I must say it is a very beautiful island. I have rented a car and driven the entire island. It may take you less than three hours to drive from east to west at the longest point since PR measure 110 miles by 35 miles. Old San Juan is one place that is a must to learn the history of PR not to mention the beautiful art galleries, museums and restaurants.

If you are going to venture further into the interior of PR I suggest to bring with you mosquito repellent.

  10. MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE BIOLUMINESCENT BAY! you have to take a ferry from san juan to the island of vieques, its called mosquito bay, it was gorgeous! there are these organisms in the water that make it glow like a glowstick! just google it..

there are lots of beautiful places to go in puerto rico, the whole island is beautiful! make sure to hit the beaches and maybe go for a hike in the jungles.

make sure you pack lots of sunscreen, summer clothes, sunglasses and bug spray. dont forget your camera!

  11. Ur Gonna love my island !!! You can go to: Old San Juan, Isla Verde, Condado, El Yunque (rain forest tours, etc), to our different beaches and rivers, the city of Ponce is very nice an historical too.  The east side of PR is a little bit slower but theres a lot of places u can go there too ... the north (metro) area is at a much faster pace ...

    Have Fun !!!  =o)

  12. Puerto rico is very nice. I'd definitely check out old san juan if i were you. They have the old forts/etc. during the spanish occupation. Also check out El yunque rainforest. Puerto rico is a part of the USA so it's really no different than any other city in the USA..this meaning that there are american franchises/businesses/ etc. there.
