Have you ever in your travels?

Question

Heard the ocean sing from within

Where reefs don't end or begin

Yet they pretend, to be roses of the deep

Where the songs of the sea

Can sing whales to sleep

Have you ever took a ride in a cloud?

Where the cab fare is light

But the Sun's party is so loud

That the sunbeams twirl and dance

Intwined in flow

Like sunrays holding hands

Have you ever?

This is a great and thought provoking poem. Really great. The oceans they sing always from within. They are never silent nor ever dead. Sometimes they whisper and at times they roar. But as Shakespeare says 'Sweet are the uses of adversity'. Poets transforms them into songs.

And I love these lines very much...

"Where the songs of the sea

Can sing whales to sleep"

Sea is such a mystery I am so fascinated about. Any metaphor, any simile or any note pertaining to sea find a place in my diary. And atleast for once in this life time, I would like to be a sailor in a ship that sails round the world...through the Pacifics and the Atlantics...
