If so, whether via hunting or just plain maliciousness, did you feel remorse?

  1. Only during organised hunting. No remorse, they have a better than average chance against me. Remember I'm walking in their territory, and their senses are 100 times more acute than mine.

    If it was not or organised hunting, the animal population here in SA would have been 20% of what it is now. Hunters and game-farm owners are normally better conservationists than the people ranting about hunting.

  2. I dont have a choice there are too many ants in my room!

  3. Yes, I would go stay up on my uncles farm during the holiday to get away from people LOL and when we had our farm for the short space of time my father wouldn't allow me to see animals being killed but my uncle would! ha ha

    I have killed;

    * Fish

    * Turkeys and chickens with a machete (so don't mess with me) ha ha

    * Hunted rats and shot them because they were eating our birds.

    * I once stood on my baby guinea pig by mistake! I cried so hard and still never forgave myself. (I am not fat just didn't see it! lol)

    * Shot buck for stew and biltong.

    Hmmm those are the main ones. I do feel bad even now for it but on the meat side of things, you have to eat! If I was not able to hunt or shoot for food and was out in the bush. I'd surely die if there are no berries to be found.

    I am not proud of killing animals but i am being truthful.

    A woman has got to do what woman has got to do!

  4. No, i have never killed an animal

  5. No, i have never killed an animal. But i did step on a spider and i felt really guilty. I even cried.

  6. Yes hunting as a matter of fact I am going again in July,Sins I can remember me and my late dad went hunting every year,my biggest hiding,and I got a lot,was when I wounded a only wounded a animal

  7. Yes, my brother, father and I were frequent hunters up until I was about 25, I haven't really been much since then and I doubt that I would be able to bring myself to shoot an animal now, any animal.

    I still enjoy game drives and weekends away on game farms but purely for game viewing now.

  8. Yes I driving my car years ago when a white Maltese poodle ran from the side under neath the wheels and died instantly.....I was sick for weeks I felt so bad. I have never killed a fish or anything else, oh, I did kill a mole on purpose....I hated that mole so much wrecking my lawn every single day, huge mole hills everyday, so when I flushed it out with the hosepipe, I hit it with a spade.....felt very bad again for a while, so I have decided I will never kill anything again on purpose but for buglars/robbers on  my property.

  9. ........yes they are rats, insects (cockroaches, lizard, ants, spiders, etc) and fish......I didn't felt remorse coz they bring fear to me when they're roaming in your room while your sleeping......

  10. I used to kill a chickens in one of the African villages. By then I was thinking BBQ, so i did not plead guilty. However now, I cannot stand before.

  11. I killed a dove, it was barely alive and being eaten by ants, I thought it would be better to put it out of it's suffering by just killing it off quick, then a slow painful death by ants.

  12. Yes, fishing for klipvis for the cat and for bokkems.  No, I never thought any further about it. I just flung the fish in the air and whacked it on the rocks to kill it.  I could not do it now, though.

  13. Does fishing count?

    also killed a couple of snakes and when we were kids we used to go with our slings and shoot birds and Guinea Fowls.

    Now when i think about it , i do feel a bit of guilt...

  14. Yes killed a nice big warthog last week before that last year. Killed one of my friends doves when I was little with a daisy felt bad for a day or so. I have no need to feel bad we as hunters are preserving the country more than most other people

  15. i killed a monkey usig khukuri. i feel very sorry for it.

  16. No never, i can't understand why people would want to shoot or kill a animal,  just because  -  except bugs man i really dislike them

  17. Yes, and no remorse.  I was hunting with a muzzle loader and was able to stalk it till i was about 30 yards away, then shot it.  It should have run.  And yes, I ate what i killed.

  18. It had 8 legs and was hairier than a Maltese poodle.... It had to be killed (I refuse to believe it was just an itsy bitsy spider)

  19. Besides fishing (where I hardly ever ate what I caught) but the live bait did get killed though - no.

    I am not vegeterian though, so each time I eat meat - someone else has actually killed the animal for me.
