  1. I know how you feel! I has a horse last summer that we adopted because it was abused when it lived with it's owner. He was supposed to be broke to ride and I wanted to train him and get him back to where he could trust to be ridden. Then I found out my dad had turned around and sold the horse because he said he was too dangerous. It took me months to get over it! The way I got over it was buying a new horse!

    Feel Better Soon! :)

  2. yes the exact same thing happened to me and it was a little more horrible for me because:

-sunday i had been trying to jump a mertre 20 and got it on my 13hh pony

-i went there monday afternoon after school and the owners had sold him and we didnt even know where he went and i was 9 so i didnt eat for a couple of days and cried for hours.

2 years later cane along a lovely little pony who was neglected by his previous owner and was only $750 with:

    -rugs worth over $200

now he jumps Aus NSW ponyclub c grade and holds the record at my pony club for some sporting events

P.S. whoever said 'no' that was unnessary because i dont think the asker was asking that.

good luck and hope it helps

  3. i wish i could but i don't have the money for board... but if i did i would buy a school horse that i absolutely love... hes a little mean but SOO comfortable... if only i had the money =[

  5. Mine was the second horse i looked at. she was $500!!!

  6. HI, yes it has happend to me!

  7. yeah,

the first horse i went to see was the right one for me! i fell in love with him, sweet itch and all, and so we bought him, after a week or so of talking.

and he is perfect for me!

jumps really well, looks after me, but has some batty moments and is a slight nutter!!

hes great and i have taught him how to say "please" for his tea, how to do a turn on the forhand and we are currently learning how to "bow"

hes fab and i love him loads! hes my world!

  8. no.

  9. yes it did but i did horse riding as activities in school after about 2 weeks and i found the perfect horse again and i kept having him and considered buying him.

  10. Thats what happened to my friend and she recently fell over the head of her horse and broke both of her arms...

She had to go into surgery and get a metal plate in her wrist and stitches in her mouth.

I still think shes going to keep the horse tho..

Sorry if i put u off or something.

    Hope this helped =]

  11. Yes it has happened to me multiple times.  Once I was 30 minutes too late.  The truth is thought he the sellers had no way of knowing you would come back.  So many people say they will and then never do.  I know this from selling a few.    What I do when I am buying is to get the cash and schedule all my farm visits on the same day.  Then if I like a horse I will go back and get him/her that very day.  When I am selling the only concession I will give is that if someone really wants my horse I will call them if someone else has scheduled a farm visit and if they can get out there before the other people leave their home I will sell it the them.  I will not call them however or schedule a visit after the people leave home.  If they are on their way then they get to look.

Once there was a beautiful black filly about 3 years old.  As I was going to get her she was being pulled out of the other end of the circle drive as I was going in.  Another time there was a beautiful paint fox trotter stllion who was extremely calm.  I had the money for him but as I went to get him he was already gone.  The new owner had picked him up just a few minutes before.  The tragic part of that is that they left a halter on hime and he got his foot hung in it.  He must have pulled something because even though they got it out he died about two weeks later.

  12. not yet.. but im so sorry.

i've heard this happening to my friends and it makes me so mad.

im sorry and hope you find the right horse

  13. Not happened to me, but I trained my "perfect horses", so finding them wasn't a problem.  I took cheap one or free,  that needed training and confidence build back up.  They most all do great in a short time, other need longer time:)

But just keep looking, don't give up you'll find the one for you.  I am a true believer that, thing happen for a reason so don't get to down.  You'll find your match:)  Take care.

  14. It took me a year to find Jazz. And I really didnt like him all that much at first. I wanted a big horse preferably a paint (I was like 12) that I could jump big with. Jazz was 15'2" bay and completely ordinary. Highest he had jumped (at age 8) was 2'9". I was less than interested. The trainer who owned him was also like 'I dont really think this is going to work' but my mom loved the trainer so she had me take lessons on him for a month. I was head over heels in love with him by the end of it. Now we can jump big (3'6") and he has kicked many a big flashy warmblood ***.

My friend was the same way. They looked forever for a good eventing horse and her mom got her a half crazy ex-reining horse. She hated him and had to be forced to ride him for awhile. He however has springs for legs. He has been jumping for 6 months and can seriously go over absolutly anything. They have schooled up to 3 foot and he has done Novice level cross county complexes without a problem. He is going to turn out GREAT! Good luck in your search! Something will come along.

  15. Hello , OMG that is awful . Well I had a simaluar thing happen to me , a lady the saves brumbies from being culled she had this beautiful roan gelding for sale he was a dream to ride them because of the EI virues we could not move him she said yer thats fine just pay for his feed each week and because you brought him while EI vires is going I will include ever other vet and farrier needs etc all you have to do is pay me agistment and fed cost so we paid her every week more then we should have , then the DPI starting to approve more perments and the EI vires was getting better , so we got a perment from the DPI apporved and 7 days before he was due to come home she says oh your horse has been bucking and I am a expert rider but I can not even stick to the saddle with him , she said I can refuned your money or replace him , we said just a refuned will be good as I was 12 at the time it was very hard for me I had got every attach to this horse and then she started bucking , I could not belive it when she told me . anyway she said I deposited the money waited a week still nothing then we ask she said I paid you still waited 2 weeks nothing the bank said a max of 3 days for the payment to clear and then she starts all these lies on how we neglect the horse we never went and ridden him and all this bull , if anything ever horse we have owned had been very very well looked after and always a tad over weight lol from being a bit to... spoilt lol. we had to get the police involed and it was messing she was told by the police that she had to pay all the moneys back she only paid half and till this day we own half of that horse but there is nothing we can do !! and she is a scammer I have been told sh eas done this with alot of saddlery . But she lied about the whole he was bucking because she then had him up for sale for 5 times the price we paid for him , there was NO way that she was going to get that ammont of money for him !! she never did and he is currently on lease to a home . It broke my heart I wanted this horse so much and it is people like that are the reason some of the horse industery has a bad name , there are many good people in the horse industery but then there are many bad , so my advice to anyone buying a horse no matter own experainced you are you never truely know the person selling you the horse even though you may think , we know a lady that had her horse stolen by the lease by her best friend they had been friends since they where in school and she signed lease agreement but then after the lady went away she arrive at her mothers house and said oh you and my daughter have not signed a lease agreement yet would you mined signing this that why your daughter feels safe that I am leasing her horse even though we have been friends since high school and so her mum agreed and it turns out the papers she signed was no at all a lease agreement and in fact was a agreement to say that she is now the owner of this $3000 dollar horse , which in fact she paid not one cent and it was a lease to her best friend and yet she got scammed the police say they can do nothing at all , I want laws to be tuffer on scammers !! Its so not fair

    anyway thanks

  16. Oh! yes.. It took me so long.. really long..
