"Worth"

I said I would change,

but you

did not

believe.

My heart

crafted to

the sound

of your own.

When did our song

die?

When did I fall

from your eyes,

becoming

the earth you walk on,

instead of the fire

burning in your heart?

Drinking wine

fermented from ashes,

the lingering kiss

on my lips

erasing words I said.

This time,

I must stand.

...you were once

worth heartbreak.

  3. Beautiful, yet sad.

  4. Well said.  The third stanza really strong.  My only critique which is more of a personal preference is do you need the last two lines?  My compliments on this irregardless of that.
