Question:

Having AT&T Problems!?

by  |  earlier

I am currently having problems with my internet and phone. We bought AT&T through both the internet and phone and we are experiencing problems with both. The phone's seem to be full of static to the point where you can barely hear the other person and the internet loses connection all the time. It seems if the phone rings that the internet goes out. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  1. take your regular phone outside and plug it into the box on the side of your house, if you hear static it is in the phone companys main line. if no static outside, the problem is in your lines, unplug all lines and replug you may have a wire crossed.

  2. Do you have any filters on your phone lines??  The installer should have put them on.. If not,  just look up how to install internet line filters.  As for the static.. you have a line trouble somewhere.  AT&T is great!  I really like their service.  I had the same problem as you.  You can call them and they do a test right on the phone to detect a problem.  You can call them anytime for help with anything and they will walk you through it.  Never hesitate to call... I've gotten so frustrated with my computer until I realized how simple it is for them to help me.

The # I call is 800-244-4444 when prompted say or press the # for internet.  Follow the prompts.  :0)  Good luck!

  3. Well I found the Cheapest Phone Service in the World. $3 a month!!! you can call anyone anytime in in USA and Canada.!!! Or pay $30 for a whole year Like I did.!! Go get Right here http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-3059242-105...

  4. Ahhh...welcome to the wonderful world of AT&T problems!  LOL  I have been having problems with my lines ever since we bought this house 5 years ago!  They always "say" it's fixed, but then the problem is back shortly after.  We were having our lines crossed with someone elses. I think it is finally fixed now!  (Knock on wood!)  My best advice would be to call them and report the problem.  They can test the line to see if it is an external problem (their responsibility) or an internal one (your responsibility).  If it is on them, you have to keep on them until they get it right!  Good luck!
