Question:

Having my mom during labor?

im not pregnant or anything.. i just wonder if its normal to not want my mom beside me while i'm in labor..

idk why but i just dont feel that i want her to be by my side and i just want my husband there for me..so is it normal? and is there anyone out there that feels the same way?

  1. I think it's perfectly normal to just want your husband in the delivery room with you.  It's a personal and private experience you just want to share with him.

    Everyone is different, and so there are no set "rules" for this.

    These days women practically let the neighbors come in and watch the delivery!  I guess if they are comfortable with that, fine.  

    But just wanting your husband and no other relatives (even Mom) is fine, too...probably more normal than a huge audience!  After all, Mom and "audience" weren't there when you were making the baby.
