  1. I can answer this one! People lice will not effect a dog or any other animal because lice are

"species specific". That means only dog lice can live on dogs.

  2. Head lice are a human parasite and have probably been around since time began. They found head lice skeletons on mummified corpses that were thousands of years old.

They have adapted incredibly well to living in human hair, as they need human blood to survive.

They can only survive on humans and so therefore do not reside in the ground or on pets. Leaving the human head spells almost certain death so they rarely (if ever) do it, except to transfer to another human.

Head lice are not fussy where they live as long as it is clean so they can attach their eggs, and simply travel from human host to human host.

Feel free to check out the articles at the following site for more advice.

    Good luck.

  3. the lice that lives on dogs has to have a higher body temp in order to survive

the lice that lives on humans needs a lower body temp

so human lice will not survive too long on an animal

  4. No it can not happen
